Last week Hurricane Florence swept through several eastern states. Many families were forced to evacuate and even more are dealing with the flood waters and clean up.
Many of you have asked what we can do to help. At this point, the best thing we can do is to make direct donations to an organization that we trust, World Renew.
We've included the direct link below to the World Renew page that has been specifically set up for Hurricane Florence relief efforts. Please make your donations there to keep things as simple as possible.
World Renew is the compassion and relief organization that is a part of the Christian Reformed Church denomination.
"World Renew DRS provides volunteer labor and free recovery services in communities that are affected by natural disaster in the U.S. and Canada. World Renew prioritizes assisting disaster survivors who may “fall through the cracks” in these communities, such as the elderly, people who live below the poverty line, people with disabilities, and homeowners without insurance or in other circumstances that prevent them from recovering on their own."
And, of course, we will all continue praying that God will comfort people and provide them with exactly what they need during this incredibly difficult time.
