Re:Vision Update | Do You Hear What I Hear?

Posted by Steve Finkill on

This past weekend (December 16-17), the new auditorium sound system was unveiled!

Over the previous several weeks, new acoustical treatments were installed in the auditorium, the old sound system was removed, and a completely new system put in place. Between the paid installers, Eastern Hills staff, and dozens of volunteers, hundreds of hours went into the installation of this part of Re:Vision.

All of the audio systems, including the speakers, amplifiers, mixing console, processing gear, microphones, and monitoring systems, were replaced with brand new equipment. The result is a sound system that provides clear and consistent sound throughout the entire auditorium.

Over the next few weeks, we will continue to make tweaks to the system to really get it dialed in, but the feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive. We’re excited to see how God uses this new tool to reach people who are close to us and far from God.

What’s Next for Re:Vision?

The next significant Re:Vision project will be to upgrade the audio and video systems in the youth room. Our hope, if all goes well, is to have those systems purchased and installed by the end of March, 2018.

As many of you know, the youth room not only serves our Middle School and High School ministries—it also provides a great meeting space for ministries like MOPS and other medium-sized groups that meet throughout the year. The upgrades that are coming for that space will make it an ideal venue for those kinds of meetings—places for people to connect with each other and with God in an environment for up to 200 people.

Thank You!

All of this is only possible because of the sacrificial generosity of the people of Eastern Hills. We’re laying a strong foundation for the next 10 years, making sure our environments are designed to clearly communicate the better life that can only be found in Jesus.

Thank you SO much for your generosity and ongoing commitment to being a part of reaching the people around us with the message of Jesus.
