Meet the Elders

Elders 2023
We believe that Eastern Hills has an amazing opportunity to reach people who need to know that Jesus Makes Life Better. We strongly believe that Eastern Hills' greatest days lie ahead and we are grateful to be a part of the journey.

Chris Tarricone:
How long at Eastern Hills?
  • Since 2020
Who is in our Family:
  • Chris and Kelly, and three kids (Henley, Neesy, and Calum)

Eastern Hills is a vital part of my family's life and I am proud to be a part of this community that is truly for Aurora.  I enjoy participating in different church ministries such as Marketplace, CT Grilled Cheese, Sheepdogs, the Harbor, and Financial Peace University.  Through Eastern Hills, my family and I have developed a feeling of true community, treasured friendships, and confidence that Jesus Makes Life Better.

Ben Davis:
How long at Eastern Hills?
  • Since 2019
Who is in our Family:
  • Married to Gracy
  • Two kids, Oliver (3) and Hazel (2); and one on the way.

Eastern Hills is known as a church that takes action to be known for what we are FOR- and we love that. I am passionate about Christ’s power experienced in an authentic community. As a family, we are involved in the Harbor, Moms@ehills, and Bible Study.

Jordan Janz:
How long at Eastern Hills?
  • Since 1994
Who is in our family:
  • Jordan and Kelsey, and two kids (Madelyn (4), and Chase (2))

I currently serve on the Elder Board and have served in Marketplace, Mountain of Mercy, and Christmas Store in the past. Many of my closest friendships have been born in the Ehills community, and this place is an integral part of my family’s life. My faith in Jesus became my own during my time at Ehills, and I pray the same will be true for my children.

Derek Holcomb:
How long at Eastern Hills?
  • Since 2011
Who is in our family:
  • Derek and Morgan, three daughters (10, 8, 5)
Eastern Hills is a critical part of the community and provides more help to those in need than many realize, through ministries like Marketplace, the Christmas Store, and the various groups that meet weekly within the building. I strongly believe that Eastern Hills' greatest days still lie ahead and I want to be a part of the journey.

Jeff McGovern:
How long at Eastern Hills?
  • Over 20 years
Who is in our family:
  • Jeff and Kristy, and three daughters

Eastern Hills has an amazing opportunity, located where it is, to reach people who desperately need to know that Jesus Makes Life Better. I have loved serving at Eastern Hills. This is my second time serving as an Elder. I have also served as a Deacon, a Small Group Leader, and as a Nursery Volunteer.

Dave Reeb:
How long at Eastern Hills?
  • 16 years
Who is in our family:
  • Dave, Kim, 2 daughters & 1 son

I grew up as a Christian and I have been blessed to be part of Eastern Hills for the past 16 years. We believe God is doing something special here at Eastern Hills and we want to do what we can to help serve our church and our community.  Over the years we have served through our various ministries like the Christmas Store, Backpack ministry, and hosted/attended multiple small men's groups and couples groups.

Dave Henderson:
How long at Eastern Hills?
  • 19+ years
Who is in our family:
  • Dave and Kristi, daughter, son-in-law, and grandson

I did not grow up in a Christian home and Eastern Hills has been the only church home that I have really ever known. During this time, I have served in a few roles. Most notably as a Welcome Team member and leader, Men’s Mentor, and Stephen’s Minister. As often happens when serving I realize that I received more from my service than I ever gave.

James Norwood:
How long at Eastern Hills?
  • Eight years
Who is in our family:
  • James and Jessica, and three kids (Mason, Madison, and Morgan)

My strengths and passions in life shine in the areas of diversity. During my years of servitude, I’ve been blessed to have served in both all-white and black churches. We’ve served as group leaders for two different small groups. Individually, I’ve volunteered for different church events such as Sox Place, For Aurora, Christmas Store, and many others.

Dom Custodio:
How long at Eastern Hills?
  • Since August 2014
Who is in our family:
  • Dom and Janell, two sons, and five grandchildren

I believe that Eastern Hills is uniquely positioned to make an incredible difference in the lives of people in the community!  We are reaching out and providing a place for families to get grounded in God, reaching out to give a hand up to those in need and giving those who want to grow spiritually the tools to do so.
