Carrie Johnson | Co-Chair
I have been part of Eastern Hills for 27 years with my husband Greg. We have 2 children, Zach who is a junior at the University of Florida and Courtney who is a Senior at Denver Christian School. I have been the Director of Admissions for over 8 years after serving as the Women's Ministry Coordinator at Eastern Hills for 5 years. I currently serve with Guest Services (kids check-in), provide food monthly for the Delores Project as well as on Easter and Christmas for volunteers, and Greg and I mentor small groups. I am humbled to be part of the Pastoral search committee and excited to see what is next for Eastern Hills and God’s leading through it.
Jonathan Zuccarelli | Co-Chair
My amazing wife & best friend, Ellie, and I have been part of the Eastern Hills community for 10 years. We have 2 beautiful and fun daughters; Mason is 4 & Jackson is 2. I have served on the Elder Board and Ellie has served as a Deacon.
I have found my true sense of community here at Eastern Hills through my involvement in The Men of Harbor and my Anchor Group. Shameless plug, these things have changed my walk with Jesus, my bond with Ellie, my relationships with my daughters, and my life overall. If you are a man in the Eastern Hills community, I unapologetically encourage and challenge you to show up on Friday mornings for The Men of Harbor. Be ready, it will change your life.
Phil was an integral part of my life and remains one of my closest personal friends. So, this transition has been hard. But I can genuinely say that God has reached in and touched my heart and assured me that He has the best days for our community ahead of us. We have an amazing staff, selflessly dedicated volunteers, and a community that lives JMLB and #ForAurora.
I am humbled by the opportunity to serve on the Search Committee, and I approach this responsibility with the utmost respect. We as a Search Committee will remain tirelessly prayerful during this process, seeking God’s will above all else, and I am confident that He will lead us clearly and definitively to the right person to be the next Lead Pastor for the mission He has for Eastern Hills.
Dave Henderson | Elder
My wife, Kristi, and I have been attending Eastern Hills for a little over 21 years. Over that period, I have had the opportunity to serve in various areas including on the welcome team, as a Stephens Minister/men’s mentor, and since 2021 I have been an Elder. I am honored to be on the search committee and am looking forward to working with the group to identify our next lead pastor.
Jordan Janz | Elder
I have the honor of being married to my best friend Kelsey, and we have two absolutely incredible kids; Madelyn (4) and Chase (2). I have been a part of the Eastern Hills community since 1994 when my parents Elmer and Cheri began attending. I currently serve on the Elder Board and have served in Marketplace, Mountain of Mercy, and Christmas Store in the past. Many of my closest friendships have been born in the Ehills community, and this place is an integral part of my family’s life. My faith in Jesus became my own during my time at Ehills, and I pray the same will be true for my children. I will be forever grateful that God called the EuBank family to our church for 7 years, and I am both excited and optimistic for this next chapter.
Elsie Powell
My name is Elsie Powell. My husband Michael and I have been married for 18 and 1/2 years. We have 2 wonderful children, Vee is living in the Rhino area of Denver. He can make you a mean Cortado and shoot a photo from any camera that is memorizing! Erica will be graduating this year and attending Colorado Christian University in the fall. She is connected and very passionate in her role volunteering in Preteen. We have been attending Eastern Hills since November 2011. Michael leads a welcome team and I have been serving on the Deacon team as the President and love our mission. I also volunteer with our Women’s ministry, preteen, and Missions Christmas store. I am truly excited to start this process and partner to find our next Lead Pastor that will continue our journey as we are on such an amazing path as a church!
Jeremy Lampkin
I am a husband to my wife, Tiffany, of 8 years and a father to our two young boys, Jeremy Jr. and Kai. We moved to Colorado in August of 2021 from Atlanta, GA, and immediately got plugged into Eastern Hills. I have a passion for serving the next generation and I currently serve as a small group leader in the high school ministry. I am humbled and honored to be a part of this process and am excited about how the next senior pastor will help foster a sense of belonging for the many other transplant families within our community. This church has had an immediate positive impact on myself and my family, and I know that so many others would benefit from experiencing the Eastern Hills culture.
Kathy Woodliff
I have been involved at Eastern Hills since moving to Colorado 5 1/2 years ago and currently lead a bible study and mentor and coach younger women. I am single and am like a second mom to my niece, Brynna, and nephew, Bryce, and their families. It's exciting to see what God has planned for the next chapter at Eastern Hills and the person He is already preparing to step into the role of Lead Pastor. Looking forward to serving as a member of the Search Committee as we prayerfully consider the candidate who will serve our community well. It is an honor.
