Curious what Residency actually is? The EHills Residency is a full-year, intentional leadership development experience designed for people who feel called to ministry and want to grow in a real, hands-on way.

This program is built to help you grow spiritually, personally, and professionally through real ministry experience inside the life of the church.

This program is perfect if you’re:

Ministry Focus Areas

During your Residency, you’ll gain hands-on experience across key ministry areas while developing strengths aligned with your passions.

Family Team

Invest in the next generation by supporting kids and students as they grow in their faith. Develop leadership skills while learning how to create safe, engaging, and spiritually formative environments.

ForAurora

Step into community engagement and outreach strategy. Help mobilize volunteers, support local partnerships, and create opportunities for people to live out their faith beyond Sunday.

Production

Serve behind the scenes to help create distraction-free environments where people can encounter Jesus. Learn audio, lighting, livestream, and weekend service execution while developing technical excellence and leadership under pressure.

Over the course of the year, you’ll get to:

  • Strengthen your leadership skills in practical, everyday settings
  • Gain a broader, real-world understanding of what it means to serve on a church staff
  • Grow personally, spiritually, and professionally

What it’s like to be a Resident at EHills

The Residency is a one-of-a-kind year built entirely around ministry growth and real-world experience. You’ll strengthen your skills across multiple areas of church life, invest deeply in your leadership development, and grow closer to Jesus—all while being paid for the work you do.

This is a 20-hour-per-week paid internship designed especially for:
  • Gap year students
  • Recent college graduates

Highlights of the year:
  • Work across different ministry areas while focusing on the skills and passions that matter most to you
  • Kick off with a Residency Retreat in your very first month (yes, it’s a road trip!)
  • Receive personalized coaching from an experienced ministry leader who will walk with you and help you grow

Who is residency for?
Residency is for anyone desiring to pursue a career in ministry. This is a great opportunity for someone who is in a gap year or post-grad.
Accepting applicants high school graduates and up.
Is this a paid role?
Yes! This is a 20-hour-per-week paid role running from August 2026 to May 2027.
How many hours a week do residents work?
This is a 20-hour-per-week role. Residents will have weekly hours in the office as well as serving during Sunday morning services.
Do you provide housing?
We’ll do our best to connect you with someone in our church who can host you. If we’re not able to find hosts, you may be responsible for finding housing.
