Baptism

Baptism is a unique opportunity to tell others about your faith in Jesus.
Through baptisms, we’ve helped thousands of  people share their stories
of how following Jesus made their life better and made them better at life. We’d love to help you experience baptism for yourself and allow God to
use your story to impact other people.

WHAT IS BAPTISM?

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. By being immersed in water and raised back up, you’re symbolically identifying with the death and resurrection of Jesus. It’s a way of saying publicly, “I’m with him.”

What is Baptism?
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. By being immersed in water and raised back up, you’re symbolically identifying with the death and resurrection of Jesus.
It’s a way of saying publicly, “I’m with him.”
Does baptism save me?
No. Baptism doesn’t make you a follower of Jesus—it’s a symbol of the decision you’ve already made to trust him.
What if I was baptized as a baby?
Infant baptism reflects your parents’ faith and commitment. At EHills we practice “believer’s baptism,” which is your own decision once you’ve chosen to follow Jesus.
If you’d like to be baptized again as your personal choice, that’s welcome!
What if I don’t feel ready?
You’re not alone—most people don’t! Baptism isn’t about being “ready.” It’s about declaring that we depend on God.
Can kids and students be baptized?
Yes. We ask that kids under 18 have a parent or guardian’s permission. For kids K–5th, we recommend attending Jump Start, a short conversation to help families talk about faith and baptism.
How does baptism work at EHills?
At one of our baptism services, you’ll be invited during the service to come forward. We’ll provide clothes and towels if you need them.
Then you’ll be baptized during the service while your EHills family cheers you on!
Why should I be baptized?
Because Jesus was baptized, and he commanded his followers to do the same. Baptism is a powerful step of obedience and a public way to say, “I belong to Jesus.”
