Out of Control

by Shannon Peterson on

I don’t know about you, but I am feeling a little “out of control” these days. Of course I know being in control is really a false perception, but it is something I cling to in my daily life. I like to think I am in control of my family, my marriage, my career, my friendships and even my relationship with God. In times like these… I am reminded so profoundly that I AM NOT. I also know that is exactly where God wants me to be; dependent on HIM not on myself.

In the last two weeks, I have found myself feeling more emotions on any given day than I think I have ever felt before at any one time. Are you with me???  I have felt scared, unsure, happy, lonely, overwhelmed, bored, concerned, thankful… the list could go on and on. One of my dear friends said it best, “It’s almost like we are living in a perpetual ‘Good Friday’ state of mind. Waiting expectantly for Jesus to come and give us that hope He has promised. Yet we DO believe that the hope of Jesus is available every day and even NOW especially in the midst of hard times. We believe Jesus has the power to resurrect us; resurrect our lives, our marriages, our families, our jobs. HE does Make Life Better!”

Easter is always my favorite celebration at church and even though it will look a little different this year, it will be more important than ever for us to celebrate together.  I personally want to invite you, your families and your friends to join us online as we celebrate God’s amazing gift and provision in the resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ. I am so looking forward to celebrating this truth with you! Join me and find out more information at http://ehills.org/easter/ SEE YOU THERE!
